BIOS IT announces SuperFreq system validation with the latest Solarflare 8000 series adapter cards at the Trading Show Chicago.

BIOS IT will announce its latest overclocked single processor server for the financial industry now featuring the latest 8000 series adaptor card from Solarflare at the Trading Show Chicago. ‘SuperFreq’ – the most recent addition to BIOS IT’s innovative range of trading solutions, is designed to deliver high performance and maximum reliability, making it ideal for high frequency trading and low latency environments.

Equipped with a closed loop, maintenance-free liquid cooling module, the SuperFreq optimises thermal distribution internally, and features motherboard circuitry modifications, which all help to facilitate lower latency and jitter. The system is designed for co-location and features enterprise-class server management capabilities.

SuperFreq’s 2U form factor can take up to 5 x PCI-e based add-on cards, providing versatility and redundancy across networking, storage and FPGA. Designed, manufactured and supported by BIOS IT globally, the SuperFreq specifications can be customised to suit your exact requirements.

The 8000 series family of high performance Ethernet adapters have been designed for large scale high performance data center environments, including stock exchanges, commercial banks and other mission-critical data applications.

Designed with cyber security, low latency, and high capacity and bandwidth in mind, the SFN8542 (40GbE) and SFN8522 (10GbE) combine a powerful set of features that enable data centers to implement hardware-based micro-segmentation with an enterprise-managed gateway in every SuperFreq server, including:

• Greater than 60 Mpps frame processing rates
• 16 lanes of PCIe Gen 3.1, with full dual 40 Gb/s sustained bidirectional bandwidth
